How do handicaps work?
Each player adds their handicap index. The app works out their daily handicap for each course from that tee's slope and rating. If we don't have a course's rating, it tells you rather than inventing one — you add it, then it scores.
Does every player need to enter scores?
No. One person per group keeps the card on their phone, and the scores show up for everyone as they're entered. If you lose reception on the course, scores are held on the phone and sent when it's back.
Is golf scoring included?
Yes. Golf scoring, handicaps, the leaderboard and the side-game pots all come with a golf trip at no extra cost, along with the rest of the app (plan, polls, kitty, photos, awards).
Do people have to download it from the App Store?
No. It's a web app you add to your home screen from the link — it opens full screen with your event's name and icon, like any other app.
